Planetary ONE provides innovation through design knowledge networks that transform the speed, scope, and scale of a venture. Our intention is to unite disciplines with design thinking to engage projects in a diverse manner. Consequently, we can assist communities to fit symbiotically into their environment. Using a range of solutions, from hi-tech to vernacular, we formulate the possibilities.
We foresee strategies for people to shape their natural and cultural surrounds. To achieve this, all things possible are considered. We re-think the objects, cars, public transports, as well as the streets, parks, open spaces, cultural districts, civic centers, and business hubs that comprise the future metropolis. For centuries cities have been designed to accommodate the drama of our human will. We have joined the ranks of delivering a new sense of the city, one that privileges the drama of nature over anthropocentric whims. We desire to preview a likeness of our shared future yet untold.
Ecological design is not only as a philosophy that inspires visions of sustainability but also a focused scientific endeavor. The task is to ascertain the consequences of fitting a project within our natural world. Solutions are derived from numerous examples: living materials, climatic buildings, productive spaces, and mobility technologies. These design iterations succeed as having activated ecology both as a fertile symbol and an evolved artifact. Current work attempts to establish new forms of design knowledge and new processes of practice at the interface of design, computer science, engineering, electronics, embedded systems, smart responsive environments, and synthetic biology.
Planetary ONE is a group of equal partners that provides services across the full spectrum of architecture, landscape and urban design, computation, products, processes, devices, materials, and identity. Partners work independently or collaboratively according to the project, with a singe lead partner or a group of partners in control. They assemble their teams on a project basis and share human and administrative resources.
The Planetary ONE structure provides a unique opportunity to assemble teams from different disciplines and strengths that collectively brings tremendous creative value to clients by making positive economic and ecological impact.
